An Awakening

It was February 2, 2009. My family decided to go to Subic for Summer and my task was to book everything we needed for the trip. As I put down the phone after booking our hotel, I realized how much I love summer but hated the fact that even though I enjoyed our summer trips, I hated how I looked in the pictures.


Baguio (2006) was easy. I just had to hide behind that knitted poncho:

So, will it be the same this year? It was really up to me. It was at that moment that I decided to lose 15 pounds for the next 60 days.

Two days later (February 4), I enrolled in Fitness First in ABS-CBN and started to cut down on my food intake. I had a goal and I am determined to reach that goal. When I was enrolling in Fitness First, they had me fill out some questionnaires and these had me re-thinking my goals. 15 pounds in 60 days --- is just my short-term goal. I need to lose more than that if I want to lose the label of being obese.


This is a new challenge in my life and I'm determined to succeed -- for myself and for the people I love.
